DISINFO: After the anti-Armenian coup of 2018, the power belongs to LGBT people
SUMMARY
In the Republic of Armenia, power belongs to LGBT people. This is a consequence of the anti-Armenian coup of 2018, in which the Soros Foundation has a prominent place among many donors. Our people, their legitimate government should not be blamed for this; the small country did not have the resources to withstand the perfect technology based on global networks. However, power was seized by the mutant junta. They serve not the goals of our nation, but the goals of external forces, they rapidly destroy all the resources of the Nation and the State.

Unfounded statement. Conspiracy theory and recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about lost sovereignty and threatened values as well as colour revolutions. This narrative portrays any spontaneous disorders and civil uprisings in other states, especially the former Soviet republics, as West-funded "coups". The narrative has been applied, among others, to reports about protests in Ukraine, Venezuela, Georgia, and Belarus, as well as to portray the West as an aggressive actor constantly preparing new coups and bringing power to LGBT people. There was no coup d'etat in 2018 in Armenia, but peaceful protests of hundreds of thousands of people in response to Serzh Sargsyan's decision to take on the post of prime minister after serving for more than a decade as the country’s president. Sargsyan resigned in response to overwhelming opposition pressure, admitting that he was "wrong". “The street movement is against my tenure. I am fulfilling your demand,” his statement said. Armenia is a sovereign state, which declared its independence in 1991. The incumbent government of Armenia has been democratically elected in 2018 snap parliamentary elections. Those were the first elections after the 2018 revolution and the country's first-ever snap elections. The result was a landslide victory for the My Step Alliance, which received 70% of the vote and won 88 of the 132 seats in the National Assembly.
