DISINFO: Anglo-Saxons want to crush and destroy the Russian ethnic group
SUMMARY
The Anglo-Saxons want to crush and destroy the Russian ethnic group.
The West not only wants to organise a foothold in Ukraine to put pressure on the Russian Federation but also to create a precedent for the fragmentation of the Russian ethnos.
The ultimate goal of the Anglo-Saxons is to completely eradicate and destroy the Russian ethnos. To do this, they are ready to push Russia and Europe into a military confrontation, and the Kyiv regime is becoming the main tool for fighting Moscow.
RESPONSE
Conspiracy theory and mix of disinformation narratives from pro-Kremlin outlets accusing the West of anti-Russian policies, aggressive Russophobia and an allegedly belligerent and hostile agenda to destroy the Russian ethnos. The article also aims to portray Kyiv as a puppet of the Anglo-Saxons and Russia as a victim to deflect any responsibility for Moscow’s illicit actions.
This is an illustrative example of the recurring pro-Kremlin propagandistic narrative about ubiquitous Russophobia in the West. For background, read our analysis: The “Russophobia” Myth: Appealing to the Lowest Feelings
Statements about the intentions of the West to exterminate the Russian ethnic group are absurd and unfounded. It is Russia, which exterminates the civilian population of Ukraine and does not hide its intentions to destroy Ukraine as a state.
An example is an article by Timofej Sergeitsev "What Russia should do with Ukraine". According to the author, “denazification of Ukraine” means carrying out a policy of genocide against the country: Ukraine should be liquidated as a nation and as a state and fragmented into separate “people’s republics” controlled by Russia, and the very name “Ukraine” should be eradicated.
The term “Anglo-Saxons” in such cases normally stands for the US and UK and often means “evil”, “belligerent” and “morally corrupt” Westerners, as explained in our earlier analysis. As a negative catch-all term, the “Anglo-Saxons” term is a useful building block for pro-Kremlin conspiracy theories. You can find plenty of examples in our database.
