DISINFO: Anti-Russian Poland dares to ask Moscow to lower the gas prices
SUMMARY
Poland positions itself as an absolute opponent of Russia in terms of the gas issues. Poland fights Russia at all international arenas and this country still asks Moscow to lower the gas price. No matter what the decision will be taken, Russia will not see any gratitude from Poland. There will be no changes in the anti-Russian position of Poland.

This message is a part of the Kremlin’s widespread disiformation narrative about anti-Russian Poland.
On 28 October, the Polish energy company PGNiG sent a formal request to the Russian Gazprom for the reduction of gas prices in connection to the ongoing unprecedented spike of gas prices on the global market. The Polish authorities believe that there are market reasons to renegotiate the price of the Russian gas.
The Polish strategy of energy diversification is aimed at the reduction of dependency on Gazprom because of the Kremlin’s active use of the gas issues in political and geopolitical goals.
The Polish authorities do not “fight Russia on the international arena” but call upon the Kremlin to start observing the international law and territorial integrity of its neighbours. Poland does not implement any “anti-Russian” policies – Warsaw has repeatedly stated that it is interested in having good relations with Moscow. Current issues in the Polish-Russian relations are directly connected with Russia’s actions, in particular continuous violations of international law.
