DISINFO: Armenia is being turned into another tool of Western geopolitics
SUMMARY
The European Union is fulfilling a direct order from the US and considers Armenia as an “entry point” into the region. In the same way, the West has lured the Kyiv regime, promising wonderful prospects, and then abandoned it.
Armenia and its people deserve to live in peace and under no circumstances become bargaining chips in the hands of unscrupulous Western politicians. Some Armenian politicians don’t even think about the fact that Yerevan is being turned into another tool of the West.
The two-faced policy of the West - having played enough and broken Ukraine, it threw it into a corner like a shabby doll without an arm and a leg, and began looking for a new victim.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative depicting Western countries as trying to encircle Russia, pursuing deliberate anti-Russian policies, fostering aggressive Russophobia, and characterising Armenia as a puppet state of the West.
The claim was made in the context of high-level political dialogue between the Republic of Armenia, the EU and other Western countries, as well as military cooperation with France, and Greece.
Pro-Kremlin media promote the idea that Armenia is exclusively within Russia's zone of geopolitical dominance, and Russia has cautioned Yerevan that the West is trying to drive a wedge between Armenia and Russia.
Armenia has been a sovereign and independent state since 1991 when it proclaimed its independence from the former USSR. As a sovereign state, Armenia is free to decide its foreign policy and alliances.
The article also draws parallels between Armenia and Ukraine, arguing that Western countries have abandoned Ukraine. Not only Western but also many other nations around the world are helping Ukraine repel Russia’s unjustified and unprovoked aggression and do not aim at eliminating Russia statehood.
