This claim is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation strategy to portray an entire cultural and linguistic group, referred to derogatorily as "Anglo-Saxons", as inherently violent and power-hungry by invoking a racialised logic to justify geopolitical confrontation, war and the removal of moral constraints.
This claim is a textbook example of pro-Kremlin dehumanizing propaganda and strategic disinformation that seeks to legitimise aggression through a pseudo-historical, pseudo-biological lens.
The notion that the West will resort to nuclear war is designed to create a false binary: either Russia is allowed to dictate its expansionist terms in Europe, or the world will descend into nuclear catastrophe. This logic is a projection of the Kremlin’s own rhetoric, which frequently uses the threat of nuclear war as a political tool to coerce Western democracies into abandoning Ukraine. The only side routinely invoking nuclear weapons in public discourse is the Russian leadership.
Equating support for Ukraine with a drive to “defeat China” exemplifies the tactic of framing separate geopolitical challenges as part of a single Western master plan. There is no coordinated campaign to wage war against China, nor is Ukraine a pawn in such a strategy. This line of argument serves to manufacture an image of a cornered, defiant Russia facing off against a belligerent, Russophobic and united West.
