DISINFO: Bill Gates wants to use vaccines to cull humanity
SUMMARY
One of the richest people in the world has said that he is not planning to secretly microchip mankind. What a relief. If anyone still believes him, this means that we will not be implanted with digital chips which the US government will use to harvest our private data. To be fair, Gates has long been suspected of this. As far back as 2010, speaking at the TED scientific conference, the Microsoft founder said that “using new vaccines, we could reduce population growth by 10-15%.”

Recurring pro-Kremlin narratives about Bill Gates and vaccines. The statement combines two long-debunked conspiracy theories. The first one alleges that Gates is using the coronavirus pandemic as a pretext for implanting people with microchips. Most of the related conspiracy theories are based on a March 19 article posted on the biohackinfo website. The biohackinfo article misleadingly says that “quantum dot dye,” a technology indeed founded by the Gates Foundation, would be used as “human-implantable capsules that have ‘digital certificates’ which can show who has been tested for the coronavirus”. Kevin McHugh, one of the lead authors of the “quantum dot dye” research paper, said, “The quantum dot dye technology is not a microchip or human-implantable capsule and to my knowledge there are no plans to use this for coronavirus.” The biohackinfo article also misleadingly quotes one of Gates’s remarks made in an interview given to Reddit. In this interview Gates did mention the possibility of having a “digital certificate” for health records “eventually,” but he did not say these certificates would be “microchip implants.” See here for the full debunk. The second concerns Bill Gates's supposed designs for vaccine-driven population control. This falsely implies that vaccines are harmful, and that Gates would knowingly use deadly vaccination policies to curb population growth. According to Melinda Gates, the aim of her husband's vaccination plan is to reduce mortality and effect broader social change in developing countries, which in turn would lead to more stable natural growth.
