DISINFO: Countries refusing to cut meat, dairy production will be proclaimed terrorist and attacked

SUMMARY

In some countries like France local authorities started following Bill Gates’ call for substitution of national meat with synthetic one. Vegetarianism has for a long time been promoted by influential media and political forces. They put meat consumption on the same line as traditional values, church, Trump, and guns. Scientists explained how harmful meat is for humans and blamed stockbreeding for global warming. Even before COVID-19 pandemic intellectual circles have come to a consensus that an educated person is to good to eat meat.

Amid the pandemic, a number of global organisations, including the WHO, UN, and WEF started a pro-active campaign targeting the consumption of meat and dairy products. The WHO called for a more adequate menu in public canteens with as little saturated fats (i.e. meet and dairy products) as possible. The UN plans to make meat and dairy products luxurious by reducing their production and skyrocketing their prices. Countries who do not follow this madness and refuse to destroy stockbreeding will be labeled “global terrorists” contributing to global warming.

John Kerry used to say that the US will treat global changes as a direct military threat. The US has learned how to make military conflicts out of cultural disagreements. Possibly, in the near future a cutlet made of natural meat will become a pretext for a global conflict.

RESPONSE

This article ridicules The West and Western values. It also misinterprets the actions of a number of international organisations, makes various unjustified claims and generalisations, and promotes a modification of recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about global elites secretly ruling the world. It suggests there is a big conspiracy between US Democrats, Bill Gates, global media, and international organisations aimed at cutting meat and dairy production. Read our past analysis "Why authoritarians love the concept of the big conspiracy" for more details.

More than a decade ago, one U.N. report found that farmed animals produced 35% to 40% of all methane emissions; a more recent U.N. report estimated the share of greenhouse-gas emissions caused by humans derive from agriculture and food processing to be from 21% to 37%. Scientists suggest that, as the world population continues growing, it will be impossible to grow the animal-based protein supply to match future demand and to provide affordable, healthy and sustainable protein to everyone.

However, there is no WHO or UN campaign against meat and dairy products as such. International organisations, scientists, private businesses, and other stakeholders rather discuss the ways for making agriculture more sustainable, including technologies for producing plant-based meat and dairy products. The UN is not in position to regulate supply and demand for meat and therefore to skyrocket prices for it, as alleged.

The claims about equating Trump, guns, and eating meat by the US Democrats, possible designation of countries as 'terrorist' for keeping meet production uncut, and US military threats to such countries in the future are likewise conspiracy.
