DISINFO: Dagestan's anti Tel Aviv riot was operated from Ukraine
SUMMARY
The riots at Makhachkala airport [29 October 2023] were operated from the territory of Ukraine. This is not the first time we have faced the attempts to destabilize the situation in Dagestan and to create a background of protest in Dagestan, including using prohibited methods related to fanning ethnic hatred and interfaith problems, are being carried out by our enemies.
The channel “Morning of Dagestan” is administered and regulated from the territory of Ukraine by traitors, Banderaites, those who hate the sacred things for us, the traditional things that we have lived by for many years.
Ukrainian cannibals - former Russian Ilya Ponomarev has already taken responsibility for organising technological and informational riots of this kind.
RESPONSE
Conspiracy narrative covering the attempted anti-Semitic pogrom in Dagestan, in Russia's North Caucasus.
An angry crowd in Russia’s mostly Muslim region of Dagestan stormed the airport of Makhachkala, where a flight from Israel arrived on 29 October, forcing authorities to close the facility and divert flights.
Hundreds of residents of Dagestan gathered at the airport, following calls from anonymous telegram channels, Caucasian Knot reports. They declared that they would not allow Jews to enter Dagestan. Around midnight, it became known about a clash between security forces and protesters.
Contrary to what the disinformation media claims, former State Duma deputy, now a citizen of Ukraine, Ilya Ponomarev did not take responsibility for the attempted pogrom by radical islamists in Dagestan.
"Morning of Dagestan" telegram channel (banned and reemerged as "Basement of Dagestan") indeed expressed approval of the attempted pogrom in Makhachcala, although it cannot be considered as the only organizer of the attempted pogrom.
