DISINFO: Erdogan’s mediating role with Moscow saves him from West-driven coup

The statement refers to the so-called “collective Soros” which, on its part, fits into a recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about secret global elites that dominate the world, control governments, wage wars and revolutions. Analysts and researchers have pointed out that anti-Western conspiracy theories about all-powerful secret elites are a political tool used by the Kremlin to strengthen the domestic stability of the current regime and expand its influence abroad by emphasising Russia’s moral superiority.
There is no evidence to suggest the United States or other Western countries are planning to destabilise the political situation in Turkey in the aftermath of the Turkish presidential elections. The claim that Western countries are unlikely to instigate mass riots in Turkey in respect of Erdogan’s role in negotiations with Russia is a conspiracy.
