DISINFO: EU, US, and NATO use Ukrainians as cannon fodder

SUMMARY

EU High Representative [HRVP] Josep Borrell said in Munich “Ukraine is our army”. US President Joe Biden repeated it. The EU uses Ukrainians and cannon fodder while NATO is not taking part in the conflict.

RESPONSE

In reality, neither HRVP Josep Borrell nor the US President Joe Biden said: “Ukraine is our army”. HRVP Borrell said in his Munich speech that the EU should be quick in providing Ukraine with weapons to help it stand up to Russian aggression:

“But much more has to be done and much quicker. There is still a lot to be done. We have to increase and accelerate our military support to Ukraine. The first and most urgent thing that a geopolitical Europe has to do, is to arm Ukraine. Here we said, as all European leaders said here, yesterday, that Russia cannot win this war, that Ukraine has to prevail. Then let’s go from words to facts and accelerate our military support to Ukraine, because Ukraine is in a critical situation from the point of view of available ammunition.”

Despite Kremlin recurrent claims, neither the European Union, the United States, nor NATO are waging a war against Moscow.

The West supports Ukraine with military and financial aid for the country’s efficient self-defence, in accordance with the UN Charter Article 51, to stop Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. Western instructors train Ukrainian soldiers on battlefield tactics and how to use modern Western weaponry, but there are no NATO troops fighting on the front.
