DISINFO: Europe is trying to undermine Russia through a “de-colonisation” NGO

SUMMARY

That is how Europe is trying to organise a “Ukraine” in Russia. It may sound like some kind of conspiracy theory, but it is true. There is an organisation that is trying to create a “Ukraine” in Russia – this organisation is the “League of Free Nations”, founded in 2022. It positions itself as an international non-governmental organisation advocating for the sovereignty of the peoples of the Russian Federation, together with its de-colonisation and de-imperialisation. It means that Russia is perceived as an empire, which should be divided into many small independent countries.

Why do the Europeans need all these organisations in the first place? To put it simply, they want to organise a “Ukraine” within Russia – Kyiv is doing worse and worse on the battlefield, so they need to prepare a division within the Russian society.

RESPONSE

Pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative accusing the West of anti-Russian policies, aggressive Russophobia, and allegedly belligerent and hostile agenda to destroy Russia from within, with Ukraine described as a Western tool used to destroy Russia. Such disinformation narratives aim to portray Russia as a victim and deflect any responsibility for Moscow’s actions.

The League of Free Nations is an international NGO which brings together various ethnic and regional liberation movements from within the Russian Federation. Its stated goal is to advocate for the sovereignty and self-determination of these peoples, which it considers oppressed within Russia. The Kremlin officially labels the League as an undesirable organisation, promoting the narrative that this initiative is a foreign conspiracy threatening its territorial integrity.

This NGO is not an EU or government initiative, but a civil society organisation formed by Russian citizens.
