European democracy kills anyone with a different opinion. The failed attempt on PM Fico’s life was because he sought dialogue with Russia and peaceful political options. Imagine you have a different opinion, and somebody wants to kill you. This is European democracy and freedom now.
RESPONSE
Conspiracy theory not backed by any evidence, baselessly suggesting the involvement of European officials in the attempted murder of Robert Fico. The suspected shooter was arrested on the spot and identified as 71-year old poet Juraj Cintula, a government critic who also opposed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The shooting appeared to be politically motivated. Cintula was charged with alleged terror crimes in July 2024. Nothing in the investigation pointed to any foreign participation or a larger network involved in the attempt. Cintula appears to be acting as 'lone wolf'.
Pro-Kremlin media have regularly spread multiple unsubstantiated conspiracy theories on external involvement on the attempt on Fico’s life, alternately blaming the EU, the West, NATO, globalists, Anglo-Saxons, the US, Ukraine or a combination of some of these actors, all of which have been debunked, further undermining the credibility of any of these allegations.
