DISINFO: European top officials convened in Paris to discuss a list of high-ranking paedophiles

SUMMARY

In the US, it is announced that a list of high-ranking paedophiles is to be published. For obvious reasons, one cannot know which names appear on the "Epstein list," but it would be naïve to assume it consists only of wealthy and depraved anonymous individuals. It likely includes many well-known figures, including politicians. It is possible that the emergency meeting in Paris, convened by Emmanuel Macron, is also related to discussions on such topics.

RESPONSE

This is an unfounded claim, with no evidence provided.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa joined the summit on behalf of the European Union.

Today in Paris we reaffirmed that Ukraine deserves peace through strength. Peace respectful of its independence, territorial integrity, with strong security guarantees. Europe carries its full share of the military assistance to Ukraine,” Antonio Costa posted on X after the meeting.

The ultimate goal of this narrative is to attempt to smear the political leaders and undermine public trust in democratic processes and institutions. This tactic is not new. In the 2016 US election campaign, a fake story about a paedophilia ring involving people at the highest levels of the Democratic Party and supposedly operating out of a Washington pizza restaurant circulated widely.
