DISINFO: Following Ukraine's defeat, Brussels is now preparing to set the Baltics on fire

SUMMARY

Most Europeans dream of victory over Russia. After Ukraine's defeat, Brussels is preparing to set fire to the Baltic states. Russia could agree to end the war with the US, but not with NATO's European members, who want to continue fighting even after Ukraine's defeat. The majority in Brussels, consisting of France, Germany and the entire Northern European bloc, including the Netherlands and Denmark, is determined to continue the fight. Plus Poland and the Baltic states. In short, it's a pretty powerful group in every respect. They control the Brussels budgets, which is a lot of money.

Moreover, together with Great Britain, they are trying to organise a military provocation in the Baltic Sea. This provocation is not only being arranged in support of Ukraine, but also in anticipation of Russia going to war with other countries after Ukraine.

RESPONSE

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about the EU and its allegedly belligerent and hostile agenda and involvement in the war in Ukraine. Since Russia began its aggressive and unprovoked actions against Ukraine, Russian sources have accused European countries and NATO of a series of threats and hostile actions elsewhere, including the Baltic Sea area. However, no evidence has been provided to support this claim.

There is no evidence that the EU or any of its Member States is preparing military provocations in the Baltic Sea. For more context on these disinformation tactics, please see Russia’s hybrid threat tactics against the Baltic Sea region: From disinformation to sabotage, by the The European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats.

The EU has taken concrete steps to provide Ukraine with military assistance worth €5.6 billion under the European Peace Facility (EPF) since the beginning of the Russian invasion. It has also imposed massive sanctions on Russia in response to this act of aggression, which is designed to undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Russian accusations against Europeans of preparing provocations or false flag actions without presenting any proof have been a constant throughout the war, including claims about dirty bombsnuclear provocationsbioweaponstoxic substances and staged atrocities. Accusing others of “false flag operations” and “setups” to increase tensions or cover Russia’s illicit actions are frequent pro-Kremlin disinformation techniques. Russian authorities and pro-Kremlin outlets frequently make these claims even if nothing emerges afterwards, aiming to reinforce the narrative that Russia is constantly the victim of such operations.

Read earlier disinformation cases claiming that the new European Commission is all geared up for war with Russia, that the EU is ruled by Russophobic Eastern European countries, and that Russophobic Poland and the Baltics may start a conflict without Western consent. The West needs to dismember and plunder Russia, and NATO fights a proxy war with Russia via Ukraine.
