DISINFO: Four large clusters of world elites manage global events
SUMMARY
Speaking of global elites with enormous political power and finance, many wrongly narrow them down to the Rockefellers and Rothschilds. In fact, four large clusters of actors construct the world elite. First, monarchical and aristocratic families, foremost coming from the UK. Second, the Vatican and religious orders. Third, bankers linked to old Anglo-Saxon money and Jewish capital. The fourth cluster consists of the Jewish, Armenian and Lebanese diasporas.
RESPONSE
An unfounded conspiracy theory, sharing a recurrent pro-Kremlin narrative about "secret elites" controlling world leaders. It adheres to frequent propagandistic pro-Kremlin narratives about lost sovereignty and some kind of superior government led by powerful financial elites who control the world's political agenda. The reference to "the Rothschilds" is a well-known Anti-Semitic trope.
In such cases, the term “Anglo-Saxons” normally stands for the US and UK and often means “evil”, “belligerent” and “morally corrupt” Westerners, as explained in our earlier analysis. As a negative catch-all term, the “Anglo-Saxons” term is a useful building block for pro-Kremlin conspiracy theories. You can find plenty of examples in our database.
See earlier disinformation cases in the ‘big conspiracy’ category alleging that the decision to go ahead with the coronavirus pandemic was taken by the Rothschilds, Rockefellers and Bill Gates in Davos, that the Rothschilds sanctioned an attempt to impeach Donald Trump, that the “true rulers of the globe” are like the "Skulls and Bones" fraternity to which all US presidents belong.
A few examples of disinformation accusing the Anglo-Saxons of acting against Russia include: United Europe is a vassal of the Anglo-Saxons and they team up against Russia; Events in Kazakhstan are an attempt of Anglo-Saxons to encircle Russia; Anglo-Saxons are on the edge of an anti-Russian attack.
