DISINFO: France and UK plan to transfer a nuclear bomb to Ukraine

SUMMARY

According to information received by the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), London and Paris are preparing to arm Ukraine with nuclear weapons.

We are talking about the covert transfer of European components, equipment and technologies in this area to Ukraine. London and Paris are considering the possibility of covertly transferring the TN75 small nuclear warhead from the M51.1 submarine-launched ballistic missile to Kyiv.

[...] their efforts are concentrated on concealing the transfer of nuclear weapons to Kyiv and declaring that Ukraine developed them itself, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported.

RESPONSE

This disinformation story is part of a wider disinformation campaign aimed to exploit baseless allegations made by Russia’s foreign intelligence service (SVR) , this time promoting allegations of Western plans to encircle Russia and nuclear fearmongering.

Allegations made by Russian officials or intelligence services cannot be considered as such, given their proven history of making unsubstantiated affirmations based on faked or inexistent proofs, including previous claims about dirty bombs, nuclear provocations, bioweapons, toxic substances and staged atrocities.

Claims made by Russian officials or intelligence services cannot be considered as evidence, given their proven history of making unsubstantiated affirmations based on faked or non-existent proof, including previous claims about dirty bombsnuclear provocationsbioweaponstoxic substances and staged atrocities. The allegation has also been firmly rejected by Ukraine, the UK and France.

The usage and transfer of nuclear weapons are regulated by the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, which entered into force in 1970. The Treaty clearly demonstrates that nuclear-states were those which had manufactured and exploded a nuclear weapon or other nuclear explosive device prior to 1 January 1967. As such, there are five acknowledged nuclear weapon states under the treaty: the United States, the Soviet Union (now Russia), the United Kingdom, France and China. Therefore, the UK and France, as nuclear-weapon States Parties to the treaty, are not allowed to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine, which, as a non-nuclear-weapon State Party to the Treaty, is not allowed to receive nuclear weapons.

Read similar disinformation cases claiming that: Ukraine is a Nazi tool of the globalists for a nuclear attack on Russia, that The UK is behind in planning the attack on Russia's nuclear triad, that French Presindent Macron is leading Europe to a nuclear abyss, that Zelenskyy wants the US to use nuclear weapons against Russia, that Zelensky may strike Ukrainian cities and civilians with dirty bombs to frame Russia, that Zelenskyy demands nuclear weapons from the West, that The US is transferring nuclear weapons to Ukraine, that Ukraine is tirelessly working to produce either a “dirty bomb” or an actual nuclear weapon, or that The US and Ukraine have created a dirty bomb.
