DISINFO: France asked Russia not to touch the French military in Ukraine
SUMMARY
Back in mid-March, the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service confirmed that France was preparing to send about 2000 military personnel to Ukraine at the initial stage. Moscow clarified: they will arrive in April.
In short, although Paris declares that it will act at its own peril and risk, and NATO does not promise to help Paris, such a mess may brew that the Third World War will become a reality. And Macron doesn’t need this at all.
So the French President sent minister Lecornu to persuade Shoigu: we know that you have iron discipline in your army, please order your generals not to touch our soldiers, we will quietly, purely symbolically, settle somewhere in Odessa, and after the conclusion of peace or a truce we will go home.

Conspiracy theory with the purpose of splitting EU and NATO member states and Ukraine by sowing hidden agendas.
No evidence is provided to support the assertion that France is going to send soldiers in Ukraine in April 2024, to Odessa or elsewhere or that Paris asked for special favours.
On 26 February 2024, the French president Emmanuel Macron said "no option should be discarded" to bolster military support for Kyiv at a conference attended by leaders of Ukraine's allies, but recognised there was "no consensus".
"There is no consensus today to send troops on the ground in an official, accepted and endorsed manner," Macron said. "But no option should be discarded. We will spare no effort to ensure that Russia does not emerge victorious in this conflict."
On the subject of the possible participation of French troops in potential ground operations, Macron assumed a "strategic ambiguity": "I absolutely did not say that France was not in favor of it," he observed.
The aim of such a statement was to discourage Russia from further escalation of the invasion of Ukraine. France like many other states are assisting Ukraine in its self defence against Russian aggression. The statement of Macron led to a wave of disinformation.
The French embassy in Moscow informed that the minister of the Armed Forces spoke on April 3 with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu and published the summary of their talk: "following the attack near Moscow on March 22 committed by the Islamic State, the minister recalled our firm condemnation and France's solidarity with the victims and their families. He confirmed that France did not have any information to establish a link between this attack and Ukraine. He called on Russia to stop all exploitation. He also recalled France's availability, as we have always done in the face of terrorism, for increased exchanges with the aim of fighting this threat as effectively as possible. The minister also unreservedly condemned the war of aggression that Russia has launched in Ukraine and recalled that France will continue to support Ukraine as long and as intensely as necessary in its fight for freedom and sovereignty, in order to to bring peace and security to the European continent".
