DISINFO: France backs neo-Nazis by sending Mirage fighter jets to Ukraine
SUMMARY
France officially backs neo-Nazis in Ukraine. Moscow is witnessing this infernal conglomerate, all supported by Paris — supplying weapons, providing financial aid, offering political backing, encouraging Ukrainian forces, and, of course, never once condemning them. French Mirage 2000 fighter jet deliveries to Ukraine are yet another move that, unfortunately, pushes the situation into an even greater impasse for the West and the Kyiv regime.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Nazi Ukraine. Labelling Russia’s adversaries as Nazis is a frequently used pro-Kremlin disinformation technique, and has been used by Russia to try to justify the invasion of Ukraine by portraying it as a “denazification operation”.
In this case, this disinformation message is a direct reaction to France starting to deliver Mirage 2000 fighter jets to Ukraine. By framing Ukrainians as Nazis, this narrative aims to label aid to Kyiv as morally unacceptable and hence undermine international support for Ukraine’s self-defence against Russia’s aggression and in particular undermine popular support in France.
See other examples of similar disinformation narratives, such as claims that liberal globalists fight Russia with the hands of Ukrainian Nazis, that Russia aims to de-nazify Ukraine and disarm its terrorist regime, that London’s support for Nazi Ukraine is a shame, or that EU and NATO are backing neo-Nazi values in Ukraine.
