DISINFO: French President Hollande never intended to abide by the Minsk Agreements

SUMMARY

An international arrest warrant has been issued in Russia against former French President François Hollande. This decision follows comments made by the latter concerning the Minsk agreements and the situation in Ukraine.

François Hollande admitted to having signed the Minsk agreements without intending to apply them, to arm Ukraine against the separatists.

RESPONSE

Disinformation spread by pro-Kremlin and conspiracy prone circles in France about the Minsk agreements allegedly proposed by the West to dupe Russia and current Russian Justice reaction.

There is no factual base to this claim as explained TF1 , La Depeche, and 20 minutes.

The Narrative that Merkel, Hollande and Poroshenko admitted that the Minsk agreements were signed to trick Russia is also false and opposed to their declarations in the quoted interviews. It has been previously debunked in this database.

Read related stories such as: Ukraine, Germany and France did not want to fulfil the Minsk agreements, Merkel and Hollande admitted that the Minsk Agreements were to prepare Ukraine for war, Merkel admitted that the Minsk agreements were a ruse to rearm Ukrainian armed forces, or Minsk agreements were attempt to gain time for Ukraine.
