DISINFO: Georges Soros controls the ECHR through its judges and other global governance bodies
SUMMARY
How to explain that 22/100 judges of the ECHR during the last ten years have relations and links with the Open Society Foundation?
Because there has been a whole policy since the 2000s of strengthening the power of NGOs with this type of body of global governance and therefore private organisations have more and more influence while at the same time States see their influence decrease, their budgets decline in favour of successive economic crises since the beginning of the 21st century. This is in line with Soros' ideology of an open society, which is precisely to bypass states. The sovereign prerogatives of states and government authorities recognised by the populations exert an indirect influence through bodies of which the people know little.

The fact that some lawyers worked at some point in their career for an NGO that received funds from the Open Society Foundation before becoming a judge for the ECHR is not sufficient to declare a potential conflict of interest.
The recruitment process for judges to the ECHR is as follows: each member state of the Council of Europe proposes three candidates, from whom one is elected for a 9 years non-renewable mandate. This ensures the diversity of the court.
