DISINFO: Hamas is a victim of mainstream media, just like Russia
SUMMARY
We don’t justify the killings of innocent civilians, whether carried out by Hamas or the Israelian army, but we want to put things in perspective and clearly differentiate the persecutor from the victim.
Saying that Hamas is a terrorist organisation is wrong and unfair. Hamas never committed any terrorist act against French people, German people or Americans. It never stroke outside of occupied Palestine. Palestine is occupied and Hamas is under the Zionist colonial domination. Western media are calling Hamas terrorist because they try to discredit Hamas like they did with Russia because they reverse the roles of victims and persecutors. Hamas never hit civilians, women, children, and old people. They easily could, but never did and never will do at the difference of the Israeli army that does on a regular basis and that is a terrorist state. Hamas is a heroic resistance movement, like the French resistance during the third Reich, the Gestapo called the resistance terrorists while they were not. Or during the independence struggles in Indochina or Algeria, the colonial state called those movement terrorists.
Western media dissimulate western crimes behind fabricated stories like the 40 babies decapitated by Hamas, the Gaza hospital bombed by Hamas or accusing Russia to be responsible of the alleged Bucha massacre in Ukraine...

Denial of crimes perpetrated by Hamas and Islamic Jihad, which are described as victims of imperialism, similarly to what the article frames as equally unfair accusations against Russia in the context of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The article portrays Western media coverage of ongoing events in Israel and Gaza, as well as in Ukraine, as slanted and biased against Hamas and Russia.
Hamas - or in some cases its military wing, the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades - has been designated a terrorist group by Israel, the United States, the European Union and the UK, as well as other powers.
Terrorism is defined as the calculated use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population and thereby to bring about a particular political objective. The events of 7 October 2023 fit perfectly into this definition, a massive use of violence, torture, killings and sequestration was used against civilians in order to provoke a shock in the population to bring forward the political agenda of Hamas.
The responsibility of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad organisation is established and undisputed, even more as they revendicated the actions. Large number of hostages were taken and are still used as a pressure levers of public opinions at the time of writing, including through the publication by the kidnappers of videos that were delocalized.
While claims about 40 beheaded babies spread quickly in social media without confirmed reports, other terrible reports involving random killings in the streets, acts of torture and mutilation against civilians including children have been confirmed. A large number of victims were decapitated after death to increase the terror effect. This was an order of the organisation, later confessed to by Hamas prisoners.
The deadly explosion on the parking lot of a Gaza hospital on 17 October 2023 is still being investigated, though material evidence published established that the casualties and death toll were one order of magnitude less than what Hamas declared. The BBC has an overview of the latest analysis of this incident.
Denials of the atrocities committed by the Russian army have been a recurring theme throughout Russia's invasion of Ukraine, alongside accusations of biased reporting directed at Western media outlets. Despite these efforts, open source material and electronic metadata established that the Bucha massacre has been perpetrated by Russian soldiers while they occupied the locality with the approval of their officer.
The disinformation message reversing the roles of the persecutor and the victim is a classical mechanism in crimes against humanity. It has been studied by philosopher Pascal Bruckner in his essay The Temptation of Innocence: Living in the Age of Entitlement.
