DISINFO: Hurricane Milton and the deluge in Brazil are the results of a US research station

SUMMARY

"It is as if someone is sitting at a computer and pressing the 'hurricane' button.

There is almost such a button. What is strange about Milton? American weather forecasters noted this. Firstly, it acquired destructive power several times faster than a cyclone passes into a hurricane stage. It took literally a couple of hours - from a cyclone to a category five hurricane. The second is that Hurricane Milton never attacked Florida perpendicularly, as if it was directed.

They have an ionosphere research complex in Alaska. It has directional antennas, 180 antennas with a capacity of 5 megawatts, which periodically send a pulse into the magnetosphere.

It is quite possible that this is was a controlled story. And, look at Brazil this summer, when they had biblical rains, they accused this very complex in Alaska of the fact that the Americans had previously distributed some reagents near Brazil, after which torrential rains began. The biblical flood is real".

RESPONSE

Conspiracy theory aimed at supporting an anti-scientific hypothesis that Hurricane Milton which hit Florida in the US on October 11th was man-made.

In fact, it is impossible for the High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) to influence the weather, contrary to what the disinformation report claims.

HAARP’s purpose is to study the ionosphere (the section of the atmosphere beginning about 50 miles up in which ultraviolet radiation temporarily strips atoms of their electrons) and the magnetosphere (the region in space above the ionosphere where the Earth’s magnetic field affects the behaviour of charged particles). Scientists are interested in the ionosphere because of its ability to affect radio signals as the radiation there damages satellites. A better understanding of it could lead to ways to make satellites last longer.

Stanford University Professor Umran Inan, who works at the station, says: “There’s absolutely nothing we can do to disturb the Earth’s [weather] systems. Even though the power HAARP radiates is very large, it’s minuscule compared with the power of a lightning flash—and there are 50 to 100 lightning flashes every second. HAARP’s intensity is very small".

It should also be noted that the energy emitted by HAARP is directed towards the ionosphere, while the weather is formed in much lower layers of the atmosphere - the troposphere and stratosphere, as Mythdetector reminds.

Mythdetector also writes about the various conspiracy theories on the HAARP research center which have been spreading since the 1990s. Canadian economist Michael Chudevsky claimed that HAARP can cause floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, and droughts. American TV host Ventura has also actively popularised the conspiracy theory that the HAARP station is engaged in controlling the weather and also the human mind.
