DISINFO: In seven years, the EU will attack Russia
SUMMARY
In seven years, the EU will attack Russia. The EU is rapidly worsening the standard of living of the European residents - the EU is confidently going to war with Russia, and it is preparing all the prerequisites to start an armed confrontation. The Baltic countries and Poland will be cannon fodder in this war. The deterioration of the living standards of the Europeans is a prerequisite for preparing for an armed conflict. The Europeans will say they must defeat Russia in order to achieve a good life.
RESPONSE
This disinformation story aims to portray the EU as a warmongering, anti-Russian and militaristic power.
This disinformation message appeared in context to the recent EU decision to allocate an additional 800 billion euros for defence needs. According to the words of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, “Europe faces a clear and present danger on a scale that none of us has seen in our adult lifetime. ReArm Europe’ could mobilise close to 800 billion euros of defence expenditures for a safe and resilient Europe”.

The ongoing increase in defence spending across the EU is explained by Russia's illegal and aggressive actions including the annexation of Crimea, War in Donbas and the 2022 large-scale invasion of Ukraine.
