DISINFO: Kyiv considers Nazi war criminals as heroes
SUMMARY
Those convicted by the Nuremberg trials as war criminals are considered heroes in Kyiv. The methods and strategies currently used in Kyiv are no different to those used by Bandera and other members of the Ukrainian nationalist organisation, in their large-scale killing of Russians, Jews, Poles and Ukrainians. Now they have long-range Western weapons which allow them to reach city centres. They do not strike military targets, but rather target civilians.
The leaders of Kyiv's Nazi regime are trying to drag not only the people of Ukraine to the bottom, but also those who supply them with military equipment and ammunition, allegedly for defence against Russia.

Pro-Kremlin disinformation about alleged Nazism in Ukraine. Associating Nazism to the democratically elected executive powers in Ukraine is a way of attempting to justify the invasion of Ukraine as a “denazification” operation.
The myth of “Nazi Ukraine” has been widely in association with “western Russophobia” used by Putin and pro-Kremlin outlets since Russia attacked Ukraine and illegally annexed Crimea in 2014. The myth of Nazi-ruled Ukraine appeared during the Euromaidan popular protests in late 2013 - early 2014, falsely presented in pro-Kremlin disinformation outlets as a coup. The Kremlin has been using this myth since then to discredit Ukraine's shift towards Euro-Atlantic policy.
Additionally, Ukraine is not targeting civilians. The country is resisting Russia’s unlawful military invasion and the illegal annexation of its territory. In accordance with the UN Charter and international law, Ukraine is exercising its inherent right of self-defence against Russian aggression. It has the right to liberate and regain full control of all occupied territories within its internationally recognised borders. Pro-Kremlin media, nonetheless, regularly portray Ukrainian military operations as attacks against civilians.
