DISINFORMATION CASE DETAILS

DISINFO: Leaked document shows that Emmanuel Macron has a low IQ

SUMMARY

Before starting his political career, Emmanuel Macron worked at the Rothschild & Co bank, and everyone there undergoes extensive testing at the reception. And the test results (posted publicly by one of the bank's employees) show that Macron's IQ is 89, which is exactly in the middle between the average person (IQ ~ 100) and a moron (IQ < 80).

The only question that arises here is: how could a person who achieved such results have made a career at Rothschild & Co and end up becoming president of the Fifth Republic?

RESPONSE

Pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative against French president Emmanuel Macron.

The story is fabricated. The site that first published the information usurped the identity of a real site, as did the the author signing the article, who usurped the identity of a real journalist working for a different media outlet. This modus operandi was already known from other disinformation campaigns against Brigitte Macron or Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and is associated with the Russian campaign Storm-1516. The story was debunked by media like France Info, 20 minutes, TF1.
