DISINFO: Macron photoshoped his picture to appear as tall as Vučić

SUMMARY

A French public TV channel and official Elysee accounts published a digitally modified photograph of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, shaking hands with Emmanuel Macron. Since the French president did not accept his shorter height, he had the picture modified with Photoshop to appear as tall as the Serbian president. When the public mocked this digital enhancement of the narcissistic "rooster" president, the media published the original photograph of this "Napoleonic dwarf."

RESPONSE

Pro-Kremlin hahaganda and hate speech against the French president, faking the legitimacy of real media outlets.

The French TV channel France 24 never published the incriminated photograph, nor did the French presidency. The France 24 logo was simply used by a Russian Photoshop artist who fabricated the entire story. Random Debunk exposed this disinformation operation.

The use of negative stereotypes involving animals to describe the French president and the people and values he stands for—frog, narcissistic rooster, Napoleonic dwarf—is typical of hate speech. See our previous article Francophobes in the Kremlin.
