DISINFO: Marine Le Pen's case is a political reprisal backed by the EU and globalists
SUMMARY
Yesterday, a Paris court sentenced French politician Marine Le Pen to four years of imprisonment. [...] The most important thing is that because of this sentence, she cannot participate in the elections.
[...]it is no secret to anyone that this is a political reprisal, elevated to the norm by the European Union. [...] The globalists have already begun to use their technologies to eliminate competitors in Europe. In France, Macron dumped Marine Le Pen using the classic scheme - through puppet prosecutors and judges. Now Sandu is implementing the same scheme in Moldova against the head of Gagauzia, Hutsul. Earlier, they sabotaged the candidate for president of Romania, who would 100% defeated any protégé of the globalists.
RESPONSE
The claims presented in the text regarding European elites and the judiciary are largely speculative and lack aconcrete evidence. While political figures may face legal challenges, these are based on legal grounds rather than political motivations. European democracies like France, Romania, and Germany uphold principles of judicial independence and protect dissent within the bounds of the law.
French courts operate independently without political motivation.
In France, there is separation of powers into legislative, executive and judicial branches. The justice system is the third pillar of the State and is independent of the other two powers.
A French criminal court ruled that Ms. Le Pen played a “central role” in an illegal scheme by the party, when it was still called the National Front, to use the equivalent of almost $5 million of European Parliament funds for party expenses between 2004 and 2016. The party was short of cash at the time, and Ms. Le Pen was a member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2017.
The court found that the party used European Parliament funds to pay assistants to National Front members of the body for work that was unrelated to E.U. business. The judges rejected Ms. Le Pen’s argument that it was appropriate for the assistants to do party-related work.
In France, politicians from various political parties have been convicted, including Alain Grizet and Jean-Paul Delevoye from the Emmanuel Macron's party République en Marche, founded in 2017. Investigations and trials against others are ongoing. It would be impossible if Macron had "puppet judges", the existence of which the disinformation narrative claims, or if a secret elite was running the legal system in France.
Instead of specifying details of the criminal cases and evidence presented at courts against Le Pen, pro-Kremlin media advance conspiracy narratives about global/secret elites. This is part of a recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about a Shadow Government of all-powerful groups ruling the world. This narrative aims to question the legitimacy of democracy and Western institutions.
The examples cited (Romania and Moldova) do not demonstrate a consistent pan-European trend of suppressing political opponents. Each case has its unique legal and political context, and decisions are made based on specific legal grounds rather than a broader political strategy.
