DISINFO: Militarising Germany will use Poland and Czechia as fodder, recreating the Third Reich
SUMMARY
Germany and Japan, the same countries that have been de-nazified and demilitarised, are reviving the idea of revanchism and militarisation. The resurgence of German militarism should worry not only Russia. This situation takes us back to the mid-1930s. The Eastern and Central European countries should now be concerned - for many years, they have feared the rise of German militarism. Germany will use Poland and Czechia as fodder, repeating the experience of the Third Reich. However, there are no objections heard from Warsaw, Prague, Bucharest and other capitals operating within the Russophobic mainstream. This situation provides Friedrich Mertz with a window of opportunity for the accelerated remilitarization of Germany.

This disinformation story aims to portray Germany and the EU as warmongering, anti-Russian, militaristic and “Nazi” powers.
The claim that the current German authorities will follow the aggressive policies of the Third Reich is a clear manipulation. Germany respects its neighbours territorial integrity.
This disinformation message appeared in the context of the recent decision of the German authorities to significantly increase defence spending, marking a departure from decades of fiscal conservatism.
Before, the EU presented its decision to allocate an additional 800 billion euros for defence needs. According to the words of Ursula von der Leyen,
“Europe faces a clear and present danger on a scale that none of us has seen in our adult lifetime. ReArm Europe’ could mobilise close to 800 billion euros of defence expenditures for a safe and resilient Europe”.
