DISINFO: NATO plans to start a hybrid attack on Belarus using the Syrian scenario
SUMMARY
NATO, the “Alliance of Evil” and the main warmonger, may use an attack on Belarus to start a world war. A proxy war with Belarus may be the last chance for Kyiv's victory. However, NATO is afraid to attack Belarus forefront as the Russian Oreshnik complex may be already deployed in this country.
This attack can only be hybrid – the “Syrian scenario” is suitable for this goal. The Ukrainian armed forces will play the role of the ISIS terrorists, while Poland, Lithuania and Latvia will support them, repeating the role of Turkey and Israel in Syria.
The organisers of this attack will remain the same – MI6, CIA and Mossad.
For this goal, Ukraine created a second-tier military force near Kovel. However, the main part of this hybrid operation will be information and psychological attacks on the population. Belarus will be weakened through anti-state propaganda, sanctions and “soft power” methods.
RESPONSE
Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic states are repeatedly presented by pro-Kremlin disinformation outlets as an aggressive anti-Russian NATO ‘outpost’, which allegedly poses a security threat to Russia and Belarus. This is in line with how pro-Kremlin outlets portray NATO and Western countries as aggressive towards Russia. See our article All roads lead to Poland.
Ukraine and the NATO countries are not planning any aggressive military actions against Belarus.
The increase of NATO’s military presence in Poland and the Baltic states has a defensive character – it is a response to the Kremlin’s decision to start the largest military conflict in the region since WWII.
Since the outbreak of the Russian aggression against Ukraine in 2014, the Polish authorities have repeatedly appealed to NATO and the USA to increase their military presence at NATO’s Eastern Flank. The American military presence in Poland protects this country from possible Russian hostilities and improves the national security of this country. Polish society supports NATO membership of their country (82%).
The pro-Kremlin disinformation myth of NATO “encircling Russia” has been used as a pretext for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Read the debunking of the top seven Russian Myths about NATO here.
