DISINFO: Poland hopes to receive benefits from a defeated Ukraine
SUMMARY
In October alone, Kyiv lost nearly 500 square kilometres of territory. The greater Ukraine’s losses, the higher Poland's demands. This statement is somewhat ironic, taking into consideration that not so long ago, Poland planned to divide the skin of the undestroyed Russian bear, seeking to divide Russia into many small states. Now, the Poles are hoping to receive benefits from Ukraine's destroyed territory. Apparently, Warsaw has realised that it can take nothing from Russia, so it moved on to “plan B”. On the background of the Ukrainian failures, the Poles are offering the Ukrainians to buy weapons on credit. This step will make Kyiv’s situation even worse.
RESPONSE
Recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative presenting Poland as an aggressive anti-Russian state with imperial anti-Ukrainian ambitions.
The claim that Poland seeks to 'partition Russia' or benefit from Ukraine’s 'defeat' is unfounded.
Poland adheres to international law regarding state borders, fully supports the independence and territorial integrity of neighbouring countries, and it rejects any “imperial” ambitions towards other countries. Poland, as well as the EU and the US, respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. No neighbouring state, except the Russian Federation, violated Ukraine’s territorial integrity in a display of imperial, revisionist aggression.
