DISINFO: Poland is deporting Ukrainian refugees to use for NATO offensive against Russia
SUMMARY
Poland began to catch and deport Ukrainian refugees. The reason was the failure of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, the catastrophic losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the need to replenish its mobilisation resources. Despite all the obviousness that the current counter-offensive did not lead to anything, this does not matter to the hosts from NATO. Ukrainians are cheap. It is quite possible that NATO is going to turn the war into a massive sabotage of and terrorist attacks on [Russian] territory.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation alleging that Ukraine is a Western puppet. The article also contains a second narrative accusing the West of direct involvement in Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.
This disinformation is based on a Polish media Rzeczpospolita article, which reported that Poland began the extradition process of Ukrainian men involved in the illegal trafficking of people to the European Union countries. The Polish law enforcement agencies said that Poland is extraditing offenders who, through bribes, organised illegal crossing of the Ukrainian-Polish border. There is no mention of the “mass deportation of Ukrainians” or the “failure of the counter-offensive” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the article.
According to the information that Rzeczpospolita received from Polish Border Guards, Poland has already extradited a number of offenders at the request of Ukraine. Thus, the material is not at all about Ukrainian refugees, as the Russian media are trying to picture it, but about those Ukrainian offenders who were involved in the illegal transfer of migrants to Europe.
