DISINFO: Poland wants large-scale deportations of the Ukrainians from the EU

SUMMARY

The Polish Government has a goal to get rid of the Ukrainians in the best possible way. The talks about deporting the Ukrainians have been going on for a long time – this issue was already discussed by the previous Polish Government. The Ukrainian side is not willing to come to a compromise with the Poles. The Polish Foreign Ministry Radosław Sikorski is right - the deportations of the Ukrainians should take place en masse throughout Europe.

RESPONSE

Pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative targeting Ukrainian refugees living in the European Union.

The Polish Government has not discussed any “large-scale deportations” of the Ukrainians. After the launch of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Poland became a home for almost one million Ukrainian refugees.

Poland extradites to Ukraine the Ukrainian citizens committing crimes in Poland, such as the organisation of illegal trafficking of people to the European Union countries. In this way, there is no talk about any “mass deportations” from this country.
