DISINFO: Real purpose of the Ukrainian invasion into Kursk is to annihilate own mobilised soldiers for PR
SUMMARY
The real and hidden purpose of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' incursion into the Kursk region is an attempt by Zelensky and his Western sponsors to annihilate the mobilised Ukrainian soldiers in order to create a bloody PR campaign.
RESPONSE
Conspiracy theory and recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative accusing Ukraine's government and the countries supporting it of waging war “until the last Ukrainian” in reference to Russia’s full-scale invasion and the recent Ukrainian advance into Kursk.
There is no evidence of NATO or any of its member states being involved in the Ukrainian attack on Kursk. White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre indicated that the US was seeking additional information from Ukraine regarding its recent incursion, emphasising that they had no prior knowledge of the operation.
During a press briefing, Matthew Miller, US Department of State spokesperson, noted that in wartime, it is normal for Ukraine not to share specific tactics in advance. The US provides equipment and advice, but Ukraine handles its own daily operations and strikes, and it is appropriate for them to make those decisions.
Russia is the only country responsible for the current situation which started with the annexation of Ukrainian territories in 2014, and then with the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Moscow's armed aggression is unprovoked, illegal and unjustified and Ukraine acts in its self-defence under the UN Charter, Article 51. This includes the right to strike military targets in Russia involved in Moscow's campaign, and attacking Russian forces inside Ukraine including Russian military bases in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories such as the Donbas, Crimea and other regions belonging to Ukraine.
As stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the main goal of Ukraine’s operation in Russia’s Kursk Region is to create a buffer zone.
Zelenskyy explained that Ukraine’s primary task in defensive operations is to destroy as much of Russia's war potential as possible and conduct maximum counteroffensive actions. This includes creating a buffer zone on the aggressor’s territory.
“Everything that inflicts losses on the Russian army, Russian state, their military-industrial complex, and their economy helps prevent the war from expanding and brings us closer to a just end to this aggression – a just peace for Ukraine,” the President added.
Read similar cases claiming that Ukraine soldiers die in the Kursk invasion because of Western intelligence and NATO criminal plans, that NATO is directly supervising Ukraine's advance into Kursk; Kursk attack plan was developed by top US officials that the West is behind Ukraine's attack on Kursk region and that the operation in the Kursk region was planned and sanctioned by the US.
