DISINFO: Russia, being the most humanist country in Europe, should represent the continent in the UN Security Council
SUMMARY
The UN Security Council should be reformed to maintain peace worldwide. The most effective way would be to keep one country of each continent as a permanent member of the Security Council. If each continent agrees on one representative, every country would come in peace and conflicts would be eliminated.
Russia should be chosen for Europe since today, Russia is the most humanist country in Europe. Moreover, the country that liberated Europe is Russia. Russia has beaten the third Reich, and more than ten countries today have independence thanks to Russia.

The assertion that Russia is currently the only European country embodying a humanist attitude inevitably recalls the famous verse by Vladimir Mayakovsky about Lenin: 'the most humane human being' (as found on page 183 in either the original Russian or its English translation). Considering the human rights situation in the USSR, this quote was frequently interpreted with irony.
Russia has never ‘beaten’ the Third Reich nor given independence to more than ten European countries. Russia, in 1939, was a Republic within the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union invaded and occupied Poland and Finland in 1939 and the Baltic States in 1940. On 22 June 1941, the Soviet Union started to fight against Nazi Germany alongside the allies.
The Soviet Union won the war against Germany only as a member of an Alliance and the participation in the alliance cannot be separated from that of the USSR, nor can it be disregarded. Western economic aid and equipment deliveries at very favourable conditions under the framework of the Lend Lease were a determining factor. This factor was even acknowledged by Joseph Stalin.
Additionally, within the Soviet Union, the contributions of other republics, especially Ukraine, were critical to the victory over Nazi Germany. This victory was a collective achievement of the Soviet Union, not solely of Russia, though the narrative emphasising Russia's role has become more prevalent in the Russian infosphere after 2014. It is important to remember the vital contributions of non-Russian nationalities within the Red Army, as well as the military and non-military support provided by the Allies.
Freedom House categorises Russia as a 'consolidated authoritarian regime' and labels it 'Not Free,' noting a year-to-year decline in its freedom scores. Similarly, the Fraser Institute ranks Russia near the bottom in Europe in terms of freedom, with only Belarus scoring lower. The UN's Special Rapporteur for Russia, Mariana Katzarova, reported in 2023 a significant deterioration in human rights within the country.
