DISINFO: Russia fighting globalist regimes to save Europe

SUMMARY

The globalist regimes of Europe are killing European peoples. European peoples, European armies and European police forces already understand that this is terrible. Therefore, Russia is fighting not only for itself, but also for the Europeans, like it did in 1941-1945. If Russia saves them from these spiders and vampires, that is from the global capital, all European peoples will breathe a sigh of relief and live happily.

RESPONSE

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative accusing Western countries of moral decline and corrupt values. This claim was made in the context of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Such statements by Russian politicians and analysts attempt to portray Russian civilisation as morally superior to those of Western countries.

Russia uses this narrative to proclaim itself as the defender of traditional social and spiritual values all over the world. Progressive Western attitudes about a variety of normative issues, including the rights of women, ethnic and religious minorities, and LGBTQ groups, among others, are often undermined and distorted in pro-Kremlin outlets.

Read similar disinformation cases claiming that In Ukraine, Russia defends traditional values for the benefit of the whole world, that Demonic Western civilisation is leading humanity straight into abyss, and that Eurovision is a swamp of immorality and anti-Christianity.
