DISINFO: Russia is fighting global satanism

SUMMARY

The Immortal Regiment on Victory Day and the heroism of Russian soldiers in the special military operation are the genetic legacy of the Soviet victory in the Great Patriotic War. Around 80 years after it, Russia is currently fighting global satanism.

RESPONSE

A recurring disinformation narrative about the immoral West and Russia as a protector of threatened values, also aimed to demonise Ukraine and justify Russia’s war of aggression. False parallels between the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the USSR role in WWII also serve to legitimise Russia’s unjustified aggression against Ukraine. Pro-Kremlin disinformation outlets have employed Satanism and Paganism and symbols associated with evil forces to prop up their disinformation efforts against Western countries and Ukraine.

According to our analysis, one of the 13 most prominent Russian myths about the war against Ukraine is that Russia is fighting a holy war against godless Ukraine and the West to protect traditional values. Russia has frequently referenced fighting a holy fight against Satan himself to justify its war against Ukraine.

Read previous cases claiming that the West’s alleged moral decadence, the satanic and criminal Western elites lead their society through perversion, abomination, sodomite, that Ukraine is built on a pagan cult, and that liberalism made the Westerners immoral and under control of Satan.
