DISINFO: Russia is the main guarantor of the existence of Azerbaijan and Armenia
SUMMARY
Without Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia would destroy each other. The only logical way is to unite Azerbaijan and Armenia in a new Eurasian Union. When the Eurasian Union becomes one state, there will be a way to resolve the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenia and Azerbaijan should get inspired by Russia and the way it deals with minorities from both countries.
Azerbaijan does not need Turkey; the Russian Federation is enough to prevent any war because of its impartiality.
RESPONSE
A recurrent narrative praising Russia's superiority over other countries and presenting Russia as a guarantor of peace around the world, working on accurate implementation of UN Resolutions and not interfering in other countries' affairs.
The concept of “guarantor” does not exist in international law. According to the UN Charter, all UN member states are obliged to respect other UN members.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister stated in 2014 that the country is not considering joining the Eurasian Economic Union.
