DISINFO: SS veteran in Canadian Parliament proof of West's resurrection of Nazism in Ukraine
SUMMARY
Despite the special Russian operation to denazify Ukraine, the collective West refused to recognise the Nazification of the country. As an alibi, Ukraine has a president of Jewish origin whose family fought against the third Reich.
The West is following a familiar scenario with the assistance of Ukraine and its population. In the 1990s, they became concerned about the return of 'patriots' from exile, many of whom settled in Canada, once known for skillfully avoiding responsibility for Nazi criminals who served in SS and UPA units. They were the ones who, with financial support from the collective West, introduced, or rather rekindled, the ideology that prevails among today's 'Ukrainian patriots'.
The whole world has understood the ideology that prevails in Ukraine today has its roots in the teachings of the propagandists of the Third Reich. The author of this “reincarnation” is the collective West, the true face of “Western democracy” was finally revealed.

The fact that Yaroslav Hunka was invited to the Canadian parliament, despite his time in the Waffen SS, does not prove that the country is ruled by fascists. The Canadian Prime Minister recognised that the incident was deeply embarrassing and Liberal MP Anthony Rota apologised and stepped down as House of Commons Speaker.
Background:
Although the Waffen-SS as a whole was declared to be a criminal organisation at the Nuremberg Trials, the Galician Division has not specifically been found guilty of any war crimes. Numerous accusations of impropriety were levelled at the division, and particular members.
Some surviving members of the division, who were Polish citizens until the onset of WWII, were admitted as refugees to Canada. Immigration was prohibited for members of the Nazi party, the SS, Waffen SS (an equally heinous military branch of the SS), the German Wehrmacht or regular armed forces, and collaborators. However, non-Germans conscripted into the Waffen SS after 1942 were exempted from this prohibition in 1951.
The special Canadian Deschênes Commission on war criminals, convened in October 1986, concluded the following in relation to membership in the Galicia Division: 'The Galicia Division should not be indicted as a group,' 'The members of the Galicia Division were individually screened for security purposes before admission to Canada,' and 'in the absence of evidence of participation in or knowledge of specific war crimes, mere membership in the Galicia Division is insufficient to justify prosecution'.
The myth of “Nazi Ukraine” has been widely used by Putin and pro-Kremlin outlets since Russia attacked Ukraine and illegally annexed Crimea in 2014. It was used back then to denigrate Ukraine, discredit the pro-European popular uprising (Euromaidan) in Kyiv, and, subsequently, the broader pro-Western shift in Ukraine's foreign policy. It is also being used to justify Russia’s unprovoked aggression against Ukraine. Nazi and Communist ideologies were banned by Ukrainian law in 2015.
