DISINFO: The collapse of Syria is a plan of the global elites from the US, UK and Israel for world domination

SUMMARY

The catastrophe of Assad's Syria was the most spectacular move by the conglomerate of supranational elites from the US, UK and Israel in the global chess game: the prize for victory is world domination in the 21st century.

Now this 'collective player' is completing the combination to eliminate the Shiite "axis of resistance" in the Middle East, removing Iran from the game. But this, of course, will not be the end. The same multi-level plans have been prepared for the two remaining obstacles to dominance - Russia and China.

RESPONSE

Conspiracy theory. This disinformation story aims to promote a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about secret elites/global elites ruling the world.

Nothing indicates that the US or UK played a significant role in the rebel offensive that toppled Bashar Al Assad. By framing it as the work of Western intelligence agencies, this disinformation story aims to stoke anti-Western feelings and remove focus on Putin's failed policy in Syria.

The civil war in Syria has been ongoing since 2011. In March 2011, popular discontent with Bashar al-Assad’s rule triggered large-scale protests and pro-democracy rallies across Syria, as part of the wider Arab Spring protests. After months of crackdowns by the government’s security apparatus, various armed rebel groups, such as the Free Syrian Army, began forming across the country, marking the beginning of the Syrian insurgency.

It is true, that some Syrian insurgent groups in the southeast and northeast of the country are backed by the US. But they did not initiate the offensive, which was led by the Islamist group Hayat Tahrir Al Sham and the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army.

The Kurdish-majority Syrian Democratic Forces moved to occupy eastern areas of the country after the withdrawal of Assad forces, while the so-called Syrian Free Army operating from the Al Tanf US base in the southeast only joined it at a late stage, after the fall of Aleppo and Hama.

The Syrian Free Army and the Syrian Democratic Forces launched their offensives in Palmyra and Deir ez-Zor, respectively. By 8 December 2024, rebel forces had seized the capital, Damascus. Following this, Bashar al-Assad's regime collapsed, with al-Assad fleeing to Moscow.

International human rights organisations and democratic countries have repeatedly accused Al-Assad's regime, supported by Russia and Iran, of excessive use of force and indiscriminate airstrikes on residential areas of Syrian settlements, the use of chemical weapons against civilians, and many other human rights violations. Heads of the European Union countries, the US, Israel and the UN welcomed the fall of Al-Assad’s regime while emphasising that Syria has a historic opportunity to build a peaceful country after decades of repressive rule. It was also stated that the fight against the terrorist organisation ISIS, which operates in Syria, will continue.
