DISINFO: The demilitarisation of Central Europe is in the best interest of Poland
SUMMARY
A logical look at the Russian proposals allows us to come to a very simple conclusion: these proposals lead to the reduction of tensions in [Central] Europe and to a radical reduction of a risk that Poland may become a theatre of military actions once again in the future. The demilitarisation of Central Europe is in the best Polish interest. This is why Warsaw should make its political return to Europe and give up its “barking”, which has become tiring even for some Anglo-Saxon protectors of the current ruling elite.

Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative on NATO and the US military presence in Europe - it claims that NATO defence activities in Central and Eastern Europe somehow destabilise the security situation in this region.
The ongoing increase of NATO’s military presence in Central and Eastern Europe is a response to the ongoing security crisis taking place in Europe – this situation is a result of the Russian annexation of Crimea and military aggression against Ukraine in Donbas.
The core of the Polish National Security Strategy is the Polish membership in NATO and security cooperation with NATO allies. NATO is a defensive alliance whose primary aims are to maintain peace and safeguard the independence, security and territorial integrity of its members.
In the situation of the ongoing Russian military aggression against Ukraine, Poland supports the deployment of NATO troops in this country as this step increases its domestic security – two-thirds of the Poles have a positive opinion about NATO’s activities.
