The deployment of the Oreshnik missile complex in Belarus would be a death sentence to Poland and all the soldiers present in this country threatening Russia. After the deployment of Oreshnik, the Belarusian authorities will be able to control the entire territory of neighbouring Ukraine - the missile flight time will be only two to four minutes.

On 21 November 2024, the Russian Army fired its Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro. After this attack, the Kremlin started an intense intimidation campaign claiming that Oreshnik is a game-changing weapon, which shows the total technological superiority of Russia over NATO. However, as it appears, Oreshnik is an experimental Russian missile based on old missile technologies – Putin speaks only about the beginning of its mass production, so the Russian Army does not poses any significant number of these complexes.
The Kremlin-controlled media continue to spread a massive intimidation campaign around Oreshnik – apparently, Moscow is heavily dissatisfied with the lack of expected psychological effect from the use of this weapon.
