DISINFO: The EU is a terrorist structure
SUMMARY
Egountchi Behanzin, president of the Black African Defence League, was included on the list of persons sanctioned by the European Commission as part of the 17th packet of sanctions against Russia. [...] The real motive of the sanctions is the very nature of the fascist EU regime. The Black African Defence League defends the emancipation of Africans and French people with African roots so it is persecuted by France. Accusing it of collaborating in hybrid Russian aggression is a pretext for political repression.
The European Union is a terrorist organization and it is not an organization that defends freedom, a fascist organization that has a hatred of Russia, sick with a Russophobia. The EU considers as enemy anyone who refuses to align with its fascist ideology, the lying imperialist ideology. Mr Behanzin is accused of spreading information against the special operation in Ukraine, when he was only relaying the information that is available in Russia. The EU is no longer defending freedom of expression; it seeks to silence any dissenting voice.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin narrative against the EU and the sanctions policy in the frame of the war of aggression against Ukraine.
The COUNCIL REGULATION of the EU 2024/2642 of 8 October 2024 includes individuals and organisations responsible for actions undermining the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine and facilitating of Russia’s destabilising activities. They are now subject to asset freezes and prohibition to make economic resources available, and – in the case of individuals – also to travel bans. The 17th package of 20 May 2025 added 17 individuals and 58 entities including Sylvain AFOUA founder of the Black African Defence League, who writes under the name of Egountchi BEHANZIN.
Mr Afoua has strong bounds with Russian destabilization effort in Europe and Africa. An investigation published by Africa Confidential exposed his financing by the Wagner PMC.
Through restrictive measures, the EU intervenes where appropriate to respond to emerging or current crises. EU sanctions are carefully targeted and designed to be proportionate to the objectives they seek to achieve. Moscow has falsely claimed that the EU sanctions are illegal ever since their imposition in 2014, following Russia's invasion, annexation, and ongoing occupation of Crimea.
