DISINFO: The failure of Western collective plans is inevitable

SUMMARY

The Ukrainian army in the Russian special military operation zone is primarily able to resist due to military and financial support from the United States. However, according to Washington's plans, the main burden of the NATO proxy war with Russia is expected to fall on the European allies of the US, who are not fully prepared for such a responsibility. In 2022, the United States and NATO pooled and deployed all possible resources for a "strategic defeat" of Russia in the proxy war in Ukraine. Today, the depleted "arsenals of democracy" and political divisions among allies indicate the failure of Western collective plans. It is widely understood that a new world order, on the terms of a powerful Russia, is inevitable and quite close.

RESPONSE

Pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative equating Ukraine to a US puppet state and accusing the West of an allegedly belligerent and hostile anti-Russian agenda.

Neither the US nor European countries have pushed Ukraine to war with Russia or want to escalate the war in Ukraine. The US, the EU and NATO condemn in the strongest possible terms Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which is entirely unjustified and unprovoked. Many nations support Ukraine with military and financial aid for the country’s efficient self-defence, in accordance with the UN Charter Article 51 to stop Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.

Ukraine is a sovereign and independent state with a democratically-elected president and parliament. Ukraine's sovereignty has been violated as a result of continuous acts of aggression by the Russian armed forces since 2014, culminating with a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine starting on 24 February 2022.

See other examples of similar disinformation narratives, such as claims that Ukraine lost its independence and is under external control, that the West has made Ukraine its colony and is using Ukrainians as cannon fodder, that the West is destroying Ukrainian statehood and its military forces, that Western lobby demanded Zelenskyy to raise the stakes of the crisis, or that Zelenskyy's visit to Washington shows that Ukraine will be a neo-colony of the US.
