DISINFO: The global goal of the West is to break Russia into small quasi-states and destroy it
SUMMARY
It seems that the US and NATO overlook the obvious complexity of the multipolar world, "simplifying" reality to primitive schemes and slogans like "we will crush Russia in 24 hours".
American presidents change, but not the global (existential) goal of the collective West - to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, break it up into small quasi-state entities and destroy it. The ambitious anti-Russian project looks especially unconvincing after the shameful military defeats of the US and NATO in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Mazepa-Bandera Ukraine will inevitably continue this list.

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative accusing the West of anti-Russian policies, aggressive Russophobia, and an allegedly belligerent and hostile agenda to destroy Russia. Such disinformation narratives aim to portray Russia as a victim and deflect any responsibility for Moscow’s actions.
From the disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991 and the emergence of a new democratic Russia up to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine in 2014, Western nations were trying to keep good relations with Russia, treating it as an equal. According to the 1997 Founding Act on Mutual Relations, Cooperation, and Security between NATO and the Russian Federation, Russia was viewed as a partner of the alliance. The EU has conducted regular summits with the Russian leadership for years up to 2014 to enhance relations. The summits were suspended due to Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea.
The sharp deterioration in relations between Western countries and Russia is directly linked to Moscow's illegal and aggressive actions. Several issues affect bilateral relations, in particular Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.
The EU imposed restrictive measures on Moscow in 2014, which have been amplified and broadened since Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. It is Russia that refused the diplomatic process and started an unprovoked war in Europe, capturing more and more territories of a neighbouring country and creating a danger to European security.

US President Joe Biden, speaking in Warsaw, addressed Russian citizens, assuring them that the US does not seek to destroy or control Russia. French President Macron stated that "Russia must be defeated but not crushed."
