RESPONSE
The series of mass executions of Polish nationals carried out by the NKVD in 1940, is named after the Katyn Forest, where some of the mass graves have been discovered. An estimated 22 000 people were killed. There is solid proof that the massacre took place. Russia has also admitted this as late as 2010.
