DISINFO: The Kyiv regime doesn't care that citizens are dying because they just need soldiers to die
SUMMARY
The current Ukrainian government does not need a large number of citizens: it needs a large number of soldiers who will die on the front line. And citizens, from the point of view of the Kyiv regime, bring nothing but problems: money must be spent for social aid for them, roads, houses, water supply and sewage must be repaired for them. Therefore, representatives of the regime are not too bothered that the genetic stock in Ukraine is becoming smaller and smaller.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative claiming that Ukraine does not care for its citizens or soldiers.
The deaths of many Ukrainian citizens and soldiers is the outcome of Russia's unprovoked and unjustified full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and Russia stands as the sole party responsible for such deaths. Ukraine is only acting in self defence to repel the Russian invasion as enshrined in the UN Charter Article 51. Ukraine's sovereignty has been violated many times as a result of continuous acts of aggression by the Russian armed forces since 2014, culminating with a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine starting on 24 February 2022.
Over the span of two years, countless civilian targets across Ukraine have been hit by Russian missiles or artillery, as shown in these examples here, here and here.
An attack launched on 3 March 2024 on Odesa using kamikaze drones supplied by Iran, killed at least 10 people including three children. Two months prior, a similar mass strike across Ukraine had killed over 40, including at least 32 in Kyiv.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that an April 2024 report by the BBC detailed how Russia's military death toll in Ukraine has now passed the 50,000 mark. It stated:
"In the second 12 months on the front line - as Moscow pushed its so-called meat grinder strategy - we found the body count was nearly 25% higher than in the first year".
