DISINFO: The Kyiv regime is doomed, it resembles Nazi Germany in spring 1945
SUMMARY
The Kyiv regime is in a desperate situation with military human resources. The regime’s agony is approaching. Hitler’s Germany witnessed similar events in April-May 1945 when old people, minors and kids were forcefully sent to the war. The Ukrainians fight and die for the interests of western transnational corporations impersonated by Joe Biden. The West wants to destroy Russia and Russian civilisation. Once Russia finishes a military operation, it will face a huge challenge of de-Nazification given that consciousness and worldview of the Ukrainian population is injured.
RESPONSE
Recurrent pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Nazi Ukraine, often presented as justification for the full-scale Russian military aggression against Ukraine, which started on 24 February 2022.
This is part of a disinformation campaign aiming to deflect attention away from Russian actions and justify Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine. The article also uses a pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about an 'inevitable loss' of Ukraine in the ongoing war, aiming to prove that its “special military operation” is actually going to plan.
The accusation of Nazism and building a link to Nazi Germany is one of the favourite techniques of pro-Kremlin outlets. Read our past analysis Nazi east, Nazi west, Nazi over the cuckoo's nest.
The publication also promotes a disinformation narrative accusing the West of allegedly belligerent and hostile anti-Russian agenda.
The West supports Ukraine with military and financial aid for the country’s efficient self-defence, in accordance with the UN Charter Article 51, to stop Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. However, there are no US or NATO forces on the frontline and the western countries are not planning to “destroy Russia” as falsely alleged in the publication.
Ukraine is not fighting on behalf or for the interests of western corporations or any foreign government. It is acting in self defence against the Russian invasion as enshrined in the UN Charter Article 51. Ukraine is a sovereign and independent state with a democratically-elected president and parliament. Ukraine's sovereignty has been violated only as a result of continuous acts of aggression by the Russian armed forces since 2014, culminating with a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine starting on 24 February 2022.
See other examples of similar disinformation narratives, such as claims that Ukraine lost its independence and is under external control, that the West has made Ukraine its colony and is using Ukrainians as cannon fodder, that the West is destroying Ukrainian statehood and its military forces, that Western lobby demanded Zelenskyy to raise the stakes of the crisis, or that Zelenskyy's visit to Washington shows that Ukraine will be a neo-colony of the US.
