DISINFO: The SBU was involved in the attack on Crocus City Hall in Moscow
SUMMARY
A wave of terrorist attacks threatens to hit Europe at the hands of the Ukrainian Secret Service, the notorious SBU, financed by the British and US. The hand of the SBU was found in the investigation of the serious attack on Crocus City Hall in Moscow on 22 March 2024 where 145 people died and hundreds were injured. It was certainly no coincidence that the perpetrators of the bombing were apprehended and arrested as they fled to Ukraine.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives depicting Ukraine as a terrorist regime financed by US and UK and claiming that Ukraine was involved in the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack in Moscow.
The purpose is to work up fear, paranoia and animosity among Europe's population towards Ukraine. No evidence was provided to back up the claim about attacks in Europe. In addition, there is no evidence of Ukrainian involvement in the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack. Kyiv strongly denied any involvement in the assault on the Crocus City Hall music venue in Krasnogorsk, and the Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for and shared video footage from the attacks, corroborating their claims of responsibility.
It also emerged that Iran had warned Moscow a few days before of an imminent attack by ISIS based on information obtained from arrested ISIS terrorists in Iran.
U.S officials have intelligence that the Islamic State group's Afghan affiliate, IS-Khorasan, was responsible for the Moscow attack. “ISIS bears sole responsibility for this attack. There was no Ukrainian involvement whatsoever,” White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said in a statement.
Even Putin himself acknowledged late on 25 March that Islamists were committing the attack.
