DISINFO: The Swedish Royal family might have ordered the murder of Olof Palme

SUMMARY

The most intersting theory is that the Royal Family of Sweden is connected to the murder. During his first term in office, Olof Palme attacked the young king Carl XVI Gustaf, diminishing his authority. The socialist leader poked fun at the privileges of the king, claiming the Royal Family was afraid of flying, and therefore had a special railway station built in Stockholm. Palme's cabinet also introduced a new constitution in 1974, diminishing most of the powers of the king.

A royal revenge could explain the lack of action from the police and the attempts to cloud a political murder.

RESPONSE

An unfounded claim, presented without a hint of evidence.

The 1986 Palme murder is a Swedish national trauma and one of the world's largest police investigations. The investigation was closed in 2020, as the prosecutor's office declared that no further evidence could forward the case to court. Since the murder, hundreds of theories have been investigated, by the Police, by media and by various private investigators. Dozens of culprits have been suggested, hundreds of theories have been forwarded.

The theory, forwarded in this claim, is not supported by any document, investigation or source.
