DISINFO: The UK wants to use Ukrainian mercenaries for anti-Russian provocations in Africa
SUMMARY
The British MI6 intelligence service is prepared to send a diversionary squad of 100 Ukrainian fighters to Africa in order to undermine the Russian-African cooperation. The sabotage and terrorist acts of the Anglo-Saxon empire are always attributed to the “hands of Moscow”. These provocations in Africa can be used by the neo-colonialists to complicate Russia’s relations with African partners. Washington is also involved in this insidious British plan.
RESPONSE
Pro-Kremlin disinformation claim accusing the UK and the US (as “Anglo-Saxons” and “neo-colonialists”) of anti-Russian policies, aggressive Russophobia and allegedly belligerent and hostile agenda, accusing them of intending to carry out anti-Russian provocations all over the world, in line with alleged previous offenses such as nuclear provocations, colour revolutions, “faking” the Skripal case, etc.
Pro-Kremlin media often uses the definition of Anglo-Saxons to demonise Western countries. See the analysis of “Anglo-Saxons” meaning in pro-Kremlin disinformation here.
The claim that the US and the UK want to use Ukrainian mercenaries in order to stage “bloody” anti-Russian provocations in Africa is a conspiracy theory. The USA is trying to impact the position of African countries on political cooperation with Russia exclusively with peaceful and diplomatic tools.
So far, Russia is the main international actor involved in the direct political and military destabilisation of a number of African countries. This policy is implemented through the Wagner group, which has been present in such countries as the Central African Republic, Libya, Mali, and Sudan.
